Welcome to our School’s Physical Education & Sports Department!

At Al Ain British Academy, we believe that physical education and sports are integral to developing well-rounded, confident, and resilient students. 

Our Physical Education & Sports Department is dedicated to fostering a love of movement, teamwork, and personal achievement in all of our students, from the youngest learners to our senior athletes.

With a strong emphasis on health, fitness, and skill development, our department provides a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that promotes physical well-being, encourages lifelong fitness, and teaches valuable life skills such as discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Through a combination of dynamic PE classes, extracurricular sports teams, and specialized training, we aim to inspire every student to reach their fullest potential, both inside and outside the classroom.

Our sports teams consistently excel at regional competitions, showcasing the dedication and talent of our athletes. We offer a wide range of sports, including football, basketball, netball, badminton, table tennis, swimmimng, cricket, rounders, volleyball and athletics; providing opportunities for every student to discover their passion and excel in their chosen sport.

With state-of-the-art facilities, expert coaching staff, and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive environment, our Physical Education & Sports Department is proud to be a key part of Al Ain British Academies mission to nurture students who are not only academically successful but also healthy, active, and ready to take on the world.

SPORT SNAPSHOTS

‘Sports Snaps’ from this academic year so far…

We are extremely proud of our ‘CLUB’ and ‘ACADEMY’ structure for extra curricular sports at ABBA. Every single morning and after school we facilitate a wide range of sporting pursuits for our cohort to attend. The ‘club’ sessions have a physical recreation focus and are open to all students. The aim here is physical activity for health and enjoyment. The ‘academy’ sessions are tailored for team or individual sport specific training to compete in upcoming events. With over 200 of our students currenlty competing in competitive sports the next few pages are dedicated to images of out students in action.
